Trips in the making
Before it is a trip, it is an idea.
An idea is a trip before anyone commits — a few places, a rough window, no dates. Put one up and let the group answer. There is no money on an idea, so there is nothing to split and nothing to settle. When the dates lock, it becomes a real trip and brings the winning place and everyone who voted with it.
Most expenses should log themselves.
Typing in every bill is why shared ledgers die on day three. GoTripping reads the bill and asks you to confirm what it found. Nothing is saved until you say so.
Scan the bill
Snap the check and the merchant, total and date come back filled in. Scans taken with no signal queue up and read themselves when you are back online.
Share it from anywhere
A confirmation email, a card alert, a screenshot of the tab. Share it to GoTripping and it pulls out the amount and the merchant, parsed on your device rather than uploaded anywhere.
Bring your Splitwise group over
Export the group as a spreadsheet and import it here. Existing balances come with you, so switching does not mean losing track of what is already owed.
Settling up
The fewest transfers that clear everyone.
Eight travelers and forty expenses do not need forty payments. GoTripping nets it down to the shortest possible list, and everybody is looking at the same list.
Pay how you already pay
Venmo, Zelle or Cash App, opened with the amount and the person filled in. GoTripping never holds your money and takes no cut of it.
Marked, then confirmed
The payer marks it paid; whoever receives it confirms. A payment nobody confirmed stays on the books as an open debt instead of quietly disappearing.
Partial payments and waived amounts are both first-class, because real groups do both.
One nudge, never an auto-nag
You can remind someone once. GoTripping will not send a second reminder on your behalf. An app that chases your cousin for money is a family problem, not a feature.

Which pass is cheaper for your group?
Trip Pass is billed monthly for as long as a trip is open, so a trip you plan over four months costs four months. Annual is one flat payment however many trips you run.
